Glaucoma - glaucoma - a modern and Ayurvedic view of treatment

Glaucoma, also known as glaucoma, is a serious eye disease characterized by damage to the optic nerve, which leads to gradual vision loss. Its symptoms can include gradual deterioration of vision, increased pressure in the eye, pain in the eye, hallucinations of color and changes in peripheral vision.

From the point of view of Ayurvedic medicine, glaucoma is associated with an imbalance of doshas (energy principle) and dhatu (tissue principle). According to Ayurvedic principles, glaucoma can be caused by various factors, such as an unbalanced diet and lifestyle, genetic predispositions, excessive stress or exposure to negative external influences.

Causes of origin

From the point of view of modern medicine, glaucoma is often associated with increased pressure in the eye, which damages the optic nerve. The Ayurvedic perspective emphasizes the imbalance of the doshas and dhatas, which can lead to impaired blood circulation in the eye and subsequent damage to the optic nerve. The Ayurvedic approach to glaucoma treatment focuses on restoring balance to the body and eyes through detoxification, promoting blood circulation and strengthening the nervous system. . An appropriate treatment regimen also includes a proper diet and lifestyle, which help maintain the doshas and dhatas in a harmonious state.
